Elliot is a burned-out firefighter on the verge of suicide in a modern reimagining of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Can a succession of ghostly visitors one Christmas Eve help Elliot face his demons before it’s too late?Following the feature story are five additional tales of supernatural and psychological suspense. A solitary night janitor battles a sinister man in black (Janitor). A firefighter fails to heed an otherworldly warning (Death Alarm). A happily married man spirals into obsession over a comment by an internet troll (CatchTime). A man runs for his life down a dark country lane pursued by a stranger with murder in mind (Skelwaller Lane). A paramedic’s haunting secret threatens to destroy her life (DOA).Written from the soul of a firefighter who has seen his own struggles.

I found this book to be extremely interesting and easy to read. The author did a great job of making the stories interesting, meaningful and exciting to read. I was impressed how all the short stories tied together. As a retired firefighter, this book brought back many memories both good and bad. I am sure it does the same to any firefighter who reads this book. Yet, the stories, the underlying purpose of the effects of PTSD and the programs available for help, make this book exceptionally good for anyone to read. To the author: a job well done and well worth the time to read!
