Open your eyes. Open your ears. This book is a call for recognition from the once silent women around you who have endured abandonment, shaming, terror and profound loss. Any one of these women could be someone you thought you knew so well. And didn't. How can we truly love if we do not understand? As a mental health professional and a friend, as a woman and a spiritual human being, I read this book of true short stories with the growing recognition that we do not truly know one another until we learn to listen without judgment. And who are we to judge? This breathtakingly honest book should be read by those with a commitment to know the truth and the humility to drop the stones that Jesus dared us to throw, but only if we could claim utter faultlessness in ourselves.
