I bought this book only hesitatingly because there was no Olly Richards "Easy Short Stories" for Greek, and boy was I pleasantly surprised by this gem! This book was clearly written by an experienced language teacher, as it targets exactly the vocabulary and language structures that an upper-beginning / intermediate student wants to work on. And whereas the Olly Richards books feel cookie-cutter and very much like "textbook" language, these short stories feel fairly natural, especially given how straightforward and simple the language is. Each chapter is followed by well-designed, language-focused exercises: cloze (fill in the blank) sentences, comprehension questions, change-singular-to-plural, etc. The formatting / type setting is a bit amateurish, but I presume that has nothing to do with the author, and it doesn't detract from this delightful book anyway. Highly recommended!
