Graphic Mysteries Ghosts and Poltergeists is nice nonfiction paranormal graphic novel. Three stories are included. The first isn’t so much a ghost story as it is a paranormal warning. It deals with the 1880s ghostly visitations to Lord Dufferin that may have saved his life. The second is about the Macomb Poltergeist. The poltergeist was a firestarter that seemed centered on a 13-year-old girl. It's an okay story, but the ending is a total let down. The last story is called "The Haunted House at Amityville." It deals with the famous “Amityville Horror,” but it doesn’t call it that (perhaps the term Amityville Horror is protected by copyright?) It’s a very nice retelling of the story. Most of the major events are covered, though it would probably be a little hard to follow for someone not already familiar with the story. It’s also a bit scary. The Graphic Mysteries series is aimed at teen readers. That's good, because younger readers might be scared by this one. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.
