I haven't read a ton of historical fiction, but I will be reading all of the books in this series! I was easily hooked by the interesting premise, but the author also does a beautiful job of balancing fact, fiction and heart. There is an almost palpable tenderness to the story which will make you want to learn more about the characters, and the suspense will keep you reading. I also appreciated how seamlessly the past, present and future were tied together. Definitely worth the read!
